Here at Mystic, we take your account's security very serious – and we expect the same from you. You should take care of your account's security and, preferably, take extra steps to make your account more secure.
This Note is meant as a Guide, written for you to understand and learn more about the steps you should take to additionally protect your account.
We expect you to use a unique password on our server, the one that you don't use on other services, especially Minecraft-related servers and websites.
You might ask why? – The answer is really simple. Here at Mystic, we've protected our databases by encrypting passwords. You can be sure that your password can NEVER be accessed by anyone, including the staff team members.
However, other services, especially shady Minecraft servers and websites, often steal their user's information and can later use that information against you. This often includes passwords and other log in information.
Your password should be strong and unique. You can generate a strong password online, or make it yourself by combining words (letters), numbers and other characters to make it harder to bypass.
The best way to remember strong passwords is to make them weird (unusual?) but memorable for you. You should always write your password and store it in a safe place to make sure you'll never lose it!
The best way to add an additional layer of protection to your account is enabling Mystic Guard. We won't go into details on this page, since there is an already written guide on what is exactly Mystic Guard and how to enable it.
The only thing that is important here is that we CAN'T help you in case your account gets compromised, and you haven't enabled the Mystic Guard! Please enable it now, it literally takes two minutes to enable!
